AEGLE aspires to be the reference solution for big biomedical data analytics in Europe, providing specialised services, rather than general-purpose big data analytics. AEGLE incorporates health in the core of its activities and develops data analytics for unlocking the hidden value of currently fragmented and unconnected data-sources.
In healthcare, the term “big-data” is used as a buzzword rather than as a concise term. Current efforts are rather limited and under a narrow scope as there is a resistance to change by the related stakeholders, while there is no existing framework for the wider big-data adoption. Within this context, in addition to the big-data developments, AEGLE also works on delivering a regulatory framework needed for the adoption of such solutions.
